Scholarship Program
Purpose of the Program:
In May 2003, a donation to the APCR Scholarship Fund was made by the Alumni of the Department of Radiology at the University of Chicago to provide financial assistance to APCR members who wish to attend the annual meeting of the Association of Program Coordinators in Radiology (APCR), held in conjunction with the annual meeting of the Association of Academic Radiology (AAR) each spring. The APCR members fund the scholarship program so another colleague has the opportunity to attend the annual AAR Meeting for professional development and to network with other coordinators.
Funding:
For the 2025 AAR annual meeting, the Scholarship Committee will award individual scholarships (up to $2000 each) to two coordinators who meet the scholarship criteria to attend the annual meeting in-person.
Notification and Solicitation for Scholarship Applications:
Application information will be distributed via the APCR website, social media, and APCR newsletter. Applicants are required to fill out the application form, detailing how attendance at the conference will benefit the coordinator and their program, as well as their financial needs. Signature of the Program Director indicates his/her support. Completed applications must be submitted via email to Ranitta McDowell – [email protected] by December 6, 2024.
Scholarship Selection Committee:
Selections will be made by the APCR Scholarship Selection Committee. Afterwards, the committee will notify the recipients by December 13, 2024. The recipients will be
acknowledged at the AAR annual meeting. Award announcements will be published via the APCR website, social media, and APCR newsletter.
Selection Criteria:

Selection will be based on financial and the potential impact of funding.

Priority will be given to members attending the conference for the first time, those who serve on national committees, those who will be presenting at the educational sessions, and those who have been in their current position less than three years.
