About Our Logo
Ralene Coble, Coordinator II Residency/Fellowship Programs Department of Radiology University of Texas Medical Branch Galveston , Texas
Ralene Coble volunteered to create a logo for the Association of Program Coordinators in Radiology (APCR) in 2000. After much thought and time, with the input of other founding members and the help of network support specialist Victor Luciano of the Department of Radiology at University of Texas Medical Branch at Galveston, the logo was born. The design was approved by the APCR Board of Directors and in 2001 was officially presented at the Association of University Radiologists Meeting in Toronto by Ralene Coble and Sherry Bucholz, as follows:
"The APCR logo was designed to convey what we, as coordinators, strive to do…..what we are about….what we believe.
"Dedication to our programs, our program directors, our jobs and the young people we support.
"Contribute to the Education of the young physicians in our programs by our understanding and encouragement; plus gain in our own education in all ways.
"Increase our own Knowledge of the latest National, State, and program-based regulations and rules in order to impart these into our programs and make sure all are complied with.
"We feel our Service is not only to our own programs, our Program Directors, our House Staff, but to our Departments, other Coordinators, and to ourselves.
"Our Support is like the star……always there……always shining…..always accountable."
